As a creative entrepreneur, you are likely to be living or going through moments of fear and uncertainty.

Maybe you are not sure you can develop your project successfully, that your personal project takes you more time than the one you can spend on it, or that your product or service does not find a customer ready to buy it…

In conversations I hold frequently with creative entrepreneurs, they refer to things like:

  • “I’m not going through the best moment of my life”.
  • “I’ll launch my project sometime in the future when my children grow up”.
  • ”At the moment I don’t have time or enough money”.

In fact, these excuses are fears in disguise. It is the way we have to protect ourselves and hide under ideas that help our actions to be justified.

For example, postpone your decisions, leave it for “later”, only leads us to more confusion and paralysis.

And this is exactly what you don’t want to go through!

On the other hand, fear is costly. It is much more expensive than you can think of!

Fear

* does not let you move forward
* paralyzes the possibility of following your dream
* makes you feel you do not deserve to create a successful business
* generates doubts about yourself

I had those same fears. And they have been the reason for tough and confusing moments for weeks. Moments of stillness and that feeling of not knowing where to start. Of sleepless nights, of willing to stop everything, of having no more strength, of being in the same place with the same answer.

My fear was definitely my disorder. Not knowing about priorities or business strategy.

Not having an action plan.

Because if not, it is a spiral thought, with no conclusions.

When you have a greater ideal to create, your fears do not disappear but grow in a fair proportion. To see “the big picture” helps you to know what steps to take to reach the final goal.

How to do away with your fears, face them and get ready to move into action

Dare to play. Create a plan, make a strategy, create a budget, and allocate funds to your project.

And then play. Have fun. Enjoy.

Create with feedom. Spare time to your personal life, family and friends. Plan in your agenda time for leisure and fun. All this is vital to work better and in a more efficient way.

Be imperfect. One of the biggest fears when creating is that what we do is not perfect enough. .And perfection is the enemy of what is good. Create an extraordinary product or cool service and make an effort to do it the best way, and once it’s finished, show it to the world.

You can always make it better, and launch another version in the future. You can also learn from your clients’ feedback and make the necessary changes and different arrangements. Dare to it!

Come out of your comfort zone, do not hide.Taking imperfect action is the only way to defeat fear and learn. But, with a clear course and specific direction.

Visualize your great goal. Look at your project in the long term and create steps and actions to reach your big goals. You will lose the fear in your short term decisions as you’ll be focused on building your big project.

?And now it’s your turn! Have you been frightened at the time of launching or re-launching your brand? Have you created an action plan? I
